Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time!
It’s happening for real! The Crash Bandicoot YouTube page has actually released the official Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time trailer!
Toys for Bob, the creators of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, revealed the official trailer and interview for the new Crash Bandicoot game. After being cast away back in time, Cortex has plotted a long-devised plan to finally dispose of Crash and his friends… The game is about travelling through time and dimensions to save Crash’s life!
New Layout
Although it’s still a platformer and in the original style of the first three, there’s a lot more play with the concept of 3D. It’s extremely similar to the remastered versions for the N. Sane Trilogy.
New Characters
In the new game, you can play as almost all the characters. The trailer specifically revealed the use of Crash, Coco, and even Dr. Cortex who has the use of a ray gun. They don’t vary too much in moves but it’s much like the previous 3 where they have a little boost in certain areas, such as Crash being faster and Coco jumping higher.
New Powers
As a part of the new game, of course there’s new powers! As you may have read in our piece on the leak of Crash 4 (click HERE for that), there are these new masks, similar to Aku Aku. These new ones, however, provide Crash with special moves to aid his journey! For example, one of them allows him to do several jumps one after the other, and wearing another makes him capable of walking on the ceiling.
New Worlds
The levels in this new game are quite simply, INCREDIBLE. Of course the graphics are insane but the actual content of the levels are amazing within themselves. Included are ice levels, futuristic metropolis levels, undersea levels, jungle levels, prehistoric themes, even themes from around the world such as Mexican Day of the Dead and Chinese folklore, and many more that we haven’t even seen yet!
The levels are laid out like the first game, in a set order around a map; certainly appealing to the die-hard fans!
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2nd and is available for pre order NOW!
