How To Do The Dark Souls Remastered Unlimited Souls Glitch

Step 1

You’re gonna need to buy a stack of arrows for this, I’d recommend 999 to get the most out of the glitch. Any number is fine but I strongly recommend 999, which is the max you can carry. You can buy 999 wood arrows from the first merchant in Undead Parish for 3000 souls. You should be able to cover that amount of souls way before you even reach the merchant, but if not, there are a fair few hollows in the area you can farm for some easy souls.

Step 2

Find the soul item you wish to duplicate be that the soul of a nameless soldier, soul of a proud knight or any other type. Note that if you have a stack of more than 1 soul, the whole stack will all be consumed when you successfully complete this exploit.

Once you’ve got the soul item you want to duplicate, you’ll need to put it in the second slot in the item menu.

Step 3

From here, use the direction buttons on the d-pad to scroll to the right until you reach the arrows tab.

Step 4

Click on the arrows, (hopefully you have 999 to maximise the effectiveness of this exploit) select drop, and choose the max amount of arrows, I have 999 because I want to get the most out of this glitch. Now click cancel.

Step 5

Press R to scroll through the tabs, and stop at the system menu.

Step 6

Scroll down (not up) to brightness. From here press X and then r1 with a tiny delay between.

This bit is tricky and there are two ways it can go.

If you do it wrong you’ll be moved to another tab, simply press L to come back to the system menu and try again.

If you did it right you’ll now be in the brightness menu and the text at the top left of your screen will be overlapping with another menu. This stage does take patience and can sometimes happen straight away or after a fair few times. The bottom line is though that it WILL work if you give it time and keep persisting if you don’t get it the first time.

Step 7

From here scroll down and press OK.

Step 8

Now, scroll down to ‘quit game’ and click it.

Step 9

You’ll now get a quantity menu to appear instead, so choose the max amount, which will ideally be 999 as you bought 999 arrows. Then hit OK.

Now you’ll pop hundreds of thousands to millions of souls all in one go. You can repeat this as many times as you like as long so long as you have arrows and at least one soul item. So, go level yourself up, buy some crazy armour, punch some bosses and have fun.
