As you travel through the world of Detroit: Become human, you’ll come across magazines. These are readable and add some interesting backstory to the world, adding to the game’s immersion. Plus, if you collect all 46 you get the ‘Bookworm’ achievement. If you’re a completionist or you’re looking for as much lore as you can get your hands on, then this is the magazine locations list for you.

The location of the magazines are arranged in chapter order to make it easier for you to find them as you progress through the game.

10 – Tech Addict: Secrets of Androids & 21 – Green Earth: Climate Change-up

Whilst in the park during Chapter 2 there will be a bench to your right. Use the scan function to highlight it and pick it up. Scroll through to get both articles.

22 – All Sports: Android Power! and 1 – Century: Connecting the Dots

In chapter 3 on the living room table of Kara’s new home.

23 – All Sports: Android QB and 11 – Tech Addict: The Price of Life

Head upstairs to the master bedroom to find these on top of a cupboard.

2 – Century: The North Pole, Why Russia Wants It and 27 – Detroit Today: Life Found on Titan!

Now in chapter 4, you’ll find this magazine downstairs in the living room on a table.

25 – Gossip Weekly: Android Sex Officially Better! and 12 – Tech Addict: Is Your Android Spying on You?

Moving into chapter 5, this magazine is in the kitchen of the house where you must find 10 bits of evidence and look at a body.

3 – Century: The Bee-line to Disaster and 26 – Gossip Weekly: It’s Time to Face the Music

This next magazine doesn’t appear until chapter 9. In the laundromat, on a cupboard near the entrance.

28 – Detroit Today: Famous Detroit Painter Dies OR 29 – Detroit Today: The Three Laws of Robotic Parenting AND 30 – Detroit Today: Ivanoff Says “Niet”!

Here, in chapter 11, your choices start to add up. You will get 28 if Markus didn’t attack Leo in Chapter: Broken and 29 if he did. These can be found on a desk at the police station using the scan function.

31 – Detroit Today: Cyber Wildlife and Canada – Canada Still Android-free Zone

Now to chapter 12. There are 3 possible locations for these. If Kara slept in the squat, it will be on the left side of it. If she slept at the motel, it will be in front of the TV. Or if she slept in the car, it will be in front of it.

32 – Detroit Today: Android on the Run! and 13 – Tech Addict: Android Astronauts

After getting off the train in chapter 13 you’ll find these on a bench just outside the station. To get 32, you will need to have escaped the house as Kara in Chapter: Stormy Night.

20 – Green Earth: Past the Tipping Point and 33 – Detroit Today: Red Ice Epidemic

This one can be found in chapter 14. After Hank has kicked in the door to the apartment, but before walking into the bird room, check to your right. It’s on a table obscured by the door.

34 – Detroit Today: Arctic Tensions Escalate and 35 – Detroit Today: Now Androids Alter Your Brain

This is in the bedroom of the villa in chapter 16.

5 – Century: Time to Pull the Plug and 4 – Century: Tainted Love

Whilst helping Hank in chapter 17, go to his bedroom and pick up this magazine.

14 – Tech Addict: The First Immortals Are Among Us and 36 – Detroit Today: The New Super-Powers

After chasing the Tracis in Chapter 19, you’ll find this magazine on a box at the back of the warehouse.

37 – Detroit Today: USS Iowa Missing and 24 – Gossips Weekly: All-Android Band Tipped for Music Prize

Once you’ve gained access to the pirates house in chapter 20, this one will be on top of a barrel near where Kara puts her flashlight.

8 – Century: The Mysterious Mister Kamski and 40 – Detroit Today: Markets Predict War

This one appears in chapter 21. After Connor gets out of his car you can grab this off of a bench in front of you BEFORE talking to Hank. You won’t be able to pick it up if you’ve already talked to him.

6 – Century: President Warren A Woman in Trouble and 38 – Detroit Today: G.I. Android

On floor 47 of Stratford Tower in chapter 22. It’s on a table in the restaurant.

16 – Tech Addict: Bleeding Blue and 21 – Green Earth: Clean Food Craze

This one is in the kitchen of the broadcast room in chapter 23.

9 – Century: World War Three and Treat Yourself!

After Rosie leaves the house in chapter 24, you can pick this up off of the kitchen table.

39 – Detroit Today: Who is It? and 7 Century: An Android for President?

This one is on a box directly to your left as you start chapter 25

17 – Tech Addict: Space Tourism on the Rise and 15 – Tech Addict: Cyberlife’s Fortune Teller Computer

Once you’re in Kamski’s house, look at the painting in his foyer. Now you can pick up the magazine just below it.

42 – Detroit Today: Android Riot and 18 – Tech Addict: The Eastern Space Race

On your left at the beginning of Chapter: Freedom March. You can only get it if you freed the androids in capitol park and did a violent demonstration in Chapter: Capitol Park.

43 – Detroit Today: Detroit in Chaos and 44 – Detroit Today: Android Terror in Detroit

This one’s in Crossroads: Connor. As soon as Connor enters Jericho, scan around the back of this area to find the magazine. Be careful not to get too close to the staircase here as this starts a new scene. You can only get this magazine if Markus charged the police in Chapter: Freedom March.

46 – Detroit Today: Civil War in Detroit

This one appears in Battle for Detroit: Kara. Look on the right side of the bus stop. This is only available if Markus chose revolution in Chapter: Night of the Soul.

45 – Detroit Today: They Defy Us

The final magazine can be found in Battle for Detroit: Markus. On the right side of Markus’ camp. This is only available if Markus chose peaceful demonstration in Chapter: Night of the Soul.

Remember, you won’t be able to pick up all the magazines on just one play-though. The choices you make will decide the magazines that you will find. However, using our All 46 magazine locations guide will severely help you on your journey!
