How to Quickscope in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone

Quickscoping in FPS games is an impressive skill to have. Since Call of Duty first went online, players have been picking up snipers and putting down enemies.

So how do you Quickscope in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone? Well, you’re going to need a specific weapon, then you’ll need to unlock it to a certain level, so that you can add the right attachments.

In addition to this, you’ll need to practice our technique a lot! Check out our in-depth guide on getting good at Quickscoping on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare below.

So, how do you Quickscope in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone?

1. The Technique

Quickscoping is all about aiming down sight, snapping to your enemy without needing to aim, and taking the shot.

The hardest part to master is trying to quickly aim down sight, and already having your scope on your enemy.
The trick is simple, the small dot in the middle of your screen (the crosshair) needs to be hovering over whatever you want to be aiming at.

Frustratingly, once you start moving around, you’ll lose track of the dot due to its low opacity, so how do you keep track of it?

A little trick I used to use when I wanted to get good at Quickscoping back in the Call of Duty: World at War days, was the use of Blu Tack.
Keep your gun still, find the dot in the exact centre of your screen, and stick a small piece of Blu Tack, a sticker, or anything you can find to your screen.

Hovering a piece of Blu Tack over an enemy makes Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare so much easier!

Side note: Make sure the Blu Tack is the same size as the crosshair dot, or you’ll cover up enemies in the distance.

2. The Weapon

Now that you’ve got the technique for Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the next step is choosing the weapon.
There’s no contest here, the ultimate Quickscoping machine is the AX-50.

3. The Attachments

Firstly, you’re going to need to get your AX-50s weapon level up to level 34.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to equip the following attachments:

Barrel: 17.0″ Factory Barrel (+ Aim Down Sight Speed & + Movement Speed)
Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape (+ Aim Down Sight Speed & + Sprint to Fire Speed)
Stock: Singuard Arms Assassin (+ Aim Down Sight Speed)
Laser: Tac Laser (+ Aim Down Sight Speed & + Aiming Stability & +Aim Walking Steadiness)
Perk: Focus or Sleight of Hand (depending on preference)

All of these attachments will set you up for Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Side note: Don’t try swapping one of the attachments out for an Ammo attachment, it will slow you down drastically.
