Valheim Glitch: How to Take Metal Through Portals

Valheim is an extremely popular, brand new survival game. The fact it’s such a new game, means there are plenty of exploits and glitches to take advantage of. One of which is how to take metals through portals in Valheim.

Anyone that has played Valheim enough, knows that you’ll eventually be dealing with various metals. Such as tin, copper, bronze etc. When players get to the stage that they can build a portal, it becomes extremely handy to take materials between bases. It’s also a great way to not have to traverse through the Black Forest at night.

Thanks to redditor u/Nomzyy we’ve got a great glitch that allows players to travel through portals in Valheim, WITH METALS!

How to Take Metals Through Portals in Valheim

Step 1

The first step to transporting metals in Valheim via portal is, obviously, building a portal.

To do this, head to the ‘misc’ section in your hammers crafting menu.

You’ll need:

• A Workbench
• 20 Fine Wood
• 10 Graydwarf eyes
• 2 Surtling Cores

Step 2

The next step for getting those precious metals through the portal is building a cart.

You’ll need:

• A Forge
• A Smelter
• 200 Bronze Nails
• 20 Wood

Step 3

Interact with your cart and drag it in front of your portal. To Interact with an item in Valheim, press E.

Step 4

All of those lovely metals you’ve mined in Valheim now need to be placed in the cart.

Step 5

Now, for the next step in getting your metals in Valheim through the portal. You’re going to have to run to the other side of the portal, and face the cart. You should aim your crosshair so that ‘Storage [E] Open’ appears on your screen.

Step 6

Open up the storage on your cart and hover your curser over the metals.

Step 7

With your cart storage open, simply walk towards the portal. As everything begins changing colour, quickly swap your metals over to your inventory.

If done right, you will have successfully taken metal through the portal in Valheim!
