The Last Of Us Part 2 Elevator Glitch
The Last Of Us Part 2 elevator glitch is the first discovered bug in the newly released The Last Of Us Part 2. This glitch is, unfortunately, game-breaking and those affected by it will have a hard time trying to progress through the Court House.
The Last Of Us Part 2 Elevator Glitch – The Rope
Inside the Courthouse, you will suddenly arrive at an elevator. The game will ask you to use the rope inside the elevator to slide down to the parking lot below. You’ll get a prompt to jump when you reach the end of the rope. This prompt is there to indicate when it’s safe to jump so that you land safely at the bottom.
However, something isn’t working quite as it should! There are two possible bugs that can be triggered at this part of the game. Firstly, the game may treat the space between you and the floor as a lethal distance and as you land, kill you. Secondly, the game may pretend you’re ‘Casper the Friendly Ghost’ and will phase you through the floor and drop you underneath the map.
The second of these methods is demonstrated in the following video:
Is There A Solution?
Although rather irritating, restarting the chapter or reloading an older save file will help you eventually get back to the top of the elevator shaft and, usually, fixes the problem. Interestingly, official notes have said that you shouldn’t try and load from the previous checkpoint as this won’t help resolve the issue.
Though this game is barely collecting dust in stores, The Last Of Us Part 2 elevator glitch is being investigated by Naughty Dog. Hopefully it will be patched soon!
