Yakuza 0 Fast Yen Exploit

This 2017 entry to the amazing Yakuza series is still going strong today. With the next instalment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, scheduled to arrive in Europe in November, we take a look back at a great Yakuza 0 fast Yen exploit. Make sure you’re a confident fighter and have plenty of items in your inventory that can replenish Heat. Also, you’re going to want the Deep Pockets skill, which is unlockable from CP Exchange. 

How to do the Yakuzo 0 fast Yen exploit

Step 1

Remember Mr. Shakedown? The giant of a loan shark who loved nothing more than to chase you, beat you up and take all of your money? The first step is to let him beat you up. You’ll usually find him wandering around the east side of the map at night-time. I’d recommend reading this in full before attempting it, as now there’s no going back. You’ve just lost all your money to him!

Step 2

Now we must respawn Mr. Shakedown. You can do this either by entering a building or starting a fight or random encounter. Alternatively, use the Encounter Finder tool to locate him. Prepare yourself for this second round as this time you’ll be winning. Win a street fight or two to earn enough money for food so you can head to a restaurant to max out your health with food. 

Step 3

Now, win against Mr. Shakedown. Use heat, weapons, and speed to get the better of him. Although powerful, Mr. Shakedown isn’t the fastest fighter. Keep stunning him and then running behind him to deal devastating power moves from behind. Replenish your Heat with store-bought drinks and snacks to keep yourself as high-powered as possible. 

Step 4

Rinse, repeat, and farm the yen! Because of the Deep Pockets skill, you’ll make all your lost money back plus 1.5 times that amount. You can keep this going for as long as you like. Just make sure you don’t lose the fights!
