The BEST Way To Cheese FIRE GIANT In Elden Ring – HOW TO MAKE THAT JUMP!

Ok, so I’ve seen a lot of people covering the after-patch cheese exploit for the Fire Giant in Elden Ring, and while they are showing you how to do it. I feel like the out-of-bounds jump is being treated as a simple jump. Without properly knowing what to do, I genuinely thought making that jump was harder than actually fighting the Giant in the first place.

So, I’m going to teach you the cheese and when I get to the jump I’ll go a little more in-depth.

Step 1

This step also seems to get glossed over, but make sure you’re going through the correct boss door. There are in fact two doors you can enter, and it’s incredibly important that you go through the correct one. So make sure you go through the boss door to the northeast. Don’t go through the higher up, small triangular shaped door that’s over to the southeast.

This is the correct boss door

Step 2

Now that you’ve definitely gone through the right boss door, you just want to go up and to the right on your horse. when you’re at the top you should be able to see over a ledge facing northwest. The area in front of you should look like this – if it has this extra rock part like in the picture below labelled ‘wrong’, then you’ve gone through the wrong boss door.

^ CORRECT ^
^ WRONG ^

Step 3

Now, this is where we’re going to jump off of the ledge. This is the part that confuses a lot of people and they usually end up writing ‘it’s patched’ in the comments because they can’t do it, but fear not, it isn’t patched, it’s your own ability holding you back.

So here’s what you’ve got to do, you need to jump from the ledge, past the invisible barrier, once you pass it, you need to jump again, almost back on yourself to the right, and land on the platform.

If that didn’t make sense don’t worry, because it didn’t to me when I watched videos on it. So, here’s a really poorly drawn diagram I’ve made to help you visualise what it is you’re going to be doing here.

You’re going to want to come at the ledge at an angle, not quite facing the barrier, but not quite parallel with it either. You need to get far enough so that you can jump back with the double jump and land, so any contact you make with the barrier before the double jump is gonna slow you down.

So run and jump at this angle, once you clear the barrier hit jump again and aim for the ledge.

Step 4

Hopefully, now that’s a little clearer for you and you’ve made the jump, all that’s left to do is cheese the giant. If it didn’t make sense, fear not, because there’s a video below.

So run southwest to the elevated area just past the Site of Grace and near the other boss door. Now just wait for the giant to come close enough that you can attack him with arrows or magic.

One thing to note here is he can still hit you with that shield move where he flings dirt at you.

If like me you got pretty bored with how slow his health went down during this cheese. You could just fight him, stay under his feet and combine the Ash of War Bloodhound Step with the Rotten Breath incantation, and you’ll melt the Fire Giants health away pretty quickly.
