The merchants in Elden Ring are harmless! But, it can be incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to remember which one it was that had that item that you need, and where to even find them.
After you locate a new merchant it’s annoying having to drop a marker on them, when you know you’ll still struggle to find them later.
However, if you’re like me and you like killing random NPCs, you may have also noticed that when killed, the merchants drop Bell Bearings.
Bell Bearings can be given to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable in exchange for access to another shop where all of the stock is from the Bell Bearing owner’s inventory.
So if you kill every merchant you meet, you’ll no longer have to remember where any of them are, because all of their stock will be in one handy place, just make sure you have the roundtable unlocked first.
If you were wondering how to get Bell Bearings in Elden Ring, this will have answered your question!
One thing to note here, after you’ve taken out a few of the merchants, revisiting one of the merchant’s shacks will likely end with you being paid a little visit from an extremely overpowered boss called the Bell Bearing Hunter. If you somehow manage to kill him, he’ll drop a Bell Bearing and you’ll then get access to his inventory back at the Roundtable. Good luck with that!
