Stardew Valley: How To Stay Up Past 2am

Possibly the only infuriating thing about Stardew Valley is the fact you can’t stay up past 2am.

The Problem

Heading home as quickly as possible to make sure you don’t collapse can have you feeling desperate at times.

Sometimes you lose some items, other times you lose money, and when things are really rough, it’s both. All of that hard-earned slime, stolen by… Hailey? Yeah, I bet it was her.

Fortunately, there is a workaround to stop collapsing in the street whilst your (lovely by day) neighbors rob you blind.

How to stay up past 2am

Once your character starts the ‘yawning animation’ quickly click on your journal, and back out of it.

This should halt the process and you’ll be able to run around to your hearts content.

Note: Once the in-game time advances, your character will begin the yawning animation again, meaning you’ll have to repeat this process for as long as you want to stay out, until you’re safely tucked up in bed.
