The BEST Way To Cheese GODFREY & HOARAH LOUX In Elden Ring

If you’ve gone up against Godfrey or his second form, Hoarah Loux, you’ve most likely snapped three controllers, punched a hole in your wall and probably decided to play Fortnite instead… HA!

But, have no fear, we’ve got some of the stinkiest cheese for you today.

Let’s make a deal here, as soon as you hear that lovely ‘enemy felled’ noise when you defeat Godfrey, head to our YouTube channel and hit that sub button and let us know that it worked.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Phase 1:

To cheese our way through Godfreys first phase, we’re going with a No Aggro cheese, so you’re going to want some arrows that do some form of effect damage. Or if you want it done even quicker, it’ll be much easier if you get hold of the spell Rock Sling, and a staff, as this takes about 45 seconds to eat through his health. Then finally for the first phase you’ll need a heavy weapon that does the overhead heavy attack, I chose a club.

Phase 2:

And for his second phase, it’s a little more trickier, as this is an attention pulling cheese. For this you’re going to need a Summon. I would highly recommend that you use Luhtel the Headless as they phase in and out, meaning they take very little damage, if you can get them at +10 before the fight, even better.. You’ll also need Bloodhound Step for this, if you need to find that we have a video here.

Step 1

Spawn in at the Queen’s Bed Chambers Site of Grace.

Step 2

Head southeast up the stairs, when you get to the top, you’ll see a statue either side of the railings. Jump up on to the right railing and push yourself up against the statue.

AD

Buy cheap Runes, +10 weapons, and any item you need from U4GM! Use code Exploits for 5% off of your order!

Step 3

Pull out your heavy weapon, and begin sprinting at the statue. From here you’ll want to jump slightly left away from the railing, and then do a heavy attack to the right. This will pull you back to the railing but you’ll be standing on the other side of the statue. I’m not going to tell you that it’s easy because it isn’t, it actually took me about 45 minutes to master. You have to be prepared for falling off the edge and respawning a few times, but you’ll get there. Just try to spend a little time practising. A little tip for you, I actually found moving my camera to the left helped a lot, not sure why, but whenever I did that I landed the jump.

From here you should be able to see Godfrey.

Step 4

From here, you can either get your arrows out, or Rock Sling. You can lock onto Godfrey which makes this a lot simpler. If you’re using Rock Sling, face you character slightly to the right so that at least two of the rocks hit him. The left rock will always get caught on the door, but you can hit him with the other two.

Once his health starts getting low, I’d recommend replenishing your FP ready to call in your Summon, and swapping to your weapon that has Bloodhound Step equipped. Because as soon as you kill Godfrey, the cutscene will start and you’ll be dragged into the boss room ready to fight Hoarah Loux

Side Note:

It’s worth mentioning that there is a cheese here where instead of taking his health down, you can quit the game, and then load back up holding forwards and sprint and you’ll end up in the boss room with a broken Godfrey, but you’ll still have to fight his second phase so this is easier. Although if you do that cheese and you haven’t yet challenged Godfrey, you’ll actually be allowed to stroll past him and go through the door behind.

Maybe that’s something to remember for NG+ or a new character.

Step 5

As the second phase begins, Horoah Loux will run to grab you the second the cutscene is over. So, Bloodhound Step out of there, wait for the right moment, preferably after he’s done a big attack, then call in your Summon.

You’ll need to keep Bloodhound Stepping around until your Summon comes in and starts distracting the boss. Luckily it doesn’t take too long.

Step 6

From here hit Hoarah Loux with the strongest attack you have, luckily for me I had Comet Azur, if you don’t here’s a video on where to find it. If you can’t use it but really want to, consider respeccing your stats with Rennala, it’s worth it.

Step 7

The boss will turn his attention to you, all you’ll need to do is Bloodhound Step away until your summon gives him a smack, and then you’ll lose the aggro, giving you a chance to hit him with something heavy again. This will repeat on and off until you hear that lovely sound.

Just a quick note, don’t try doing this with friends, as they won’t be allowed to enter the boss door when you’re in there. Unless you don’t have friends. Then lucky you.
