This is a quick guide on the best way to gain XP in the latest instalment of Pokémon Sword and Shield. There are many ways to gain XP in this game, but by far the most effective are XP candy’s. These come in sizes XS to XL with XL candy giving +30,000 XP which is, more often than not, enough to level up a Level 90 Pokémon. So, how should you go about your XP candy farming?
The Max Raids feature provides mountains of candy. To find a Max Raid, you’ll need to head out into the wild areas and look for either red or purple beams of light. This will lead you to a den where you can take on and defeat a Dynamax or Gigamax Pokémon.
The difficulty of these dens is measured from one to five stars. Whichever level you think you can take on and win, do. By the time you’re taking on five-star dens, you’ll be raking in the L and XL candies. So, get out there and raid some dens!
