Everything You Need To Know About Dead By Daylight’s 4th Anniversary Event

So, Dead By Daylight has been officially released for 4 years now, and the game’s come a long way since then. To celebrate, BHVR has started an anniversary event, with new limited-time items and cosmetics available from the 23rd of June to the 7th of July. But what’s it all about and why should you play? Here’s everything you need to know about Dead By Daylight’s 4th anniversary event!

There’s a new offering in your bloodweb: the Ghastly Gateau. It’s common, and only costs 3,000 Blood Points, but it’ll give you 104% bonus bloodpoints when you use it. It’s currently not working properly although as of writing, the devs are aware and are hard at work trying to put it right. However, when it’s fixed, it’ll give everyone in the lobby the same bonus and it stacks, so if everyone burns one, you can get up to 520% bonus BPS in a game. Let’s hope it gets fixed soon! 

Uneasy hangs the head that wears the crown

There’s also a new objective in the game – finding the Crown. They only spawn one at a time, but a new one appears at a different location when the first one gets grabbed. 

Killers and survivors can both find this, and it’ll cause whoever picks it up to emit sparks, so be careful how you hide if you get it. If you do get it, that’s half the battle; next up, you need to escape with it. If you manage, you’ll find the crown cosmetic in the head slot for whichever character you escaped with. It’s only available for two weeks, so get it while you can. 

But wait, there’s more!

There’s some other small but fun details in the event too. The loading screens have quotes from the devs. The hooks, generators and lockers have festive decorations and the menu screen plays a heavy metal happy birthday! There’s even an event-themed flashlight and medkit showing up in the bloodweb that shoot confetti when you use them! And finally, some new outfits for Claudette and the Deathslinger. All in all, it’s a good time to be playing Dead By Daylight!
