Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory Releasing Worldwide Later This Year
The Kingdom Hearts franchise announced an entrance into the rhythm game genre with Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory set to release on the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One later this year along with a western release as well.
“Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is an all-new rhythm-action game coming in 2020” informs the official teaser trailer posted on the the Kingdom Hearts Youtube channel. The all-new venture will feature over 140 favourite songs from across the Kingdom Hearts franchise and involve fan-favourite characters including; Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku and Kairi to take part in four modes including an online mode.
The teaser features an animated sequence of Kairi trapped on a castles grounds surrounded by Heartless hinting that Kairi will be included as a playable character.
Fans have dubbed the announcement, which was made outside of an E3 event, as a surprise. Saying no one thought that the first Kingdom Hearts game for Switch would be a rhythm game to join the likes of big-hitters like Beat Saber.
